Awesome bang for the buck
So I missed last years inaugeral show and will forever kick myself. I am a huge fan of the Blitz and mostly enjoy Randi and Loper (Although mostly Loper!). I bought my tickets early so paid about 57 bucks for two tickets with tax and fees. To see four pretty legit bands. So for the money this could not be beat.
The line was large but we took the advice we heard on the radio and went in through the A & R Bar. We were in the doors within about 15 minutes.
This place was packed but to be honest, it didn't feel overwhelmingly crowded. We had no issues getting to the food trucks either. Everything seemed pretty well organized and prices were on point.
The beers were a bit steep but I guess I expected that.
I would definitely think about moving to a larger venue next year if this event continues to sell out within the first few weeks.
So the venue was nice. I have enjoyed all the shows I have seen at the LC.
The food we had from the food trucks were great.
The beer was pricey and VERY limited choices for us craft beer lovers.
The Bands were great. Really and I felt the sound system was fine.
Finger Eleven was just okay to us. We loved loved loved Pop Evil. They truly were worth the ticket price alone. Theory of a Deadman whom I normally really enjoy seemed VERY mellow for this event and they were probably my least favorite band of the night.
And then Three Days Grace. Wow. I know a lot of people have a lot of feedback about the new lead singer. I thought he was pretty good to be honest. Excellent showmanship. He pumped the crowd up. The light show was fantastic. The drum solo was phenomenal. And the musicians were very very solid. I enjoyed their show very much. Saw them once over 12 years ago as an opening band and just knew they would someday headline. They did. And they rocked it.
I will definitely be getting tickets to next Summers event!
